Main Attractions

Fort Aguada
It is the largest and best-preserved Portuguese fort in Goa. Built to guard Old Goa from Dutch and Maratha attacks, it overlooks the River Mandovi. A freshwater spring inside supplied water to ships, giving the fort its name: Aguada. The fort also houses a lighthouse, one of the oldest in Asia, and currently serves as the Central Jail.

Beaches of Goa
Goa’s beaches offer everything from parties to adventure, solitude to sunbathing. With deep blue waters, soft sands, swaying palms, delicious seafood, water sports, and lively nightlife, they are a top attraction. Famous beaches include Anjuna, Calangute, Baga, Candolim, and Vagator.

Basilica De Bom Jesus
One of Goa’s most famous churches and a fine example of Jesuit architecture, this world heritage monument houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier, displayed publicly once every decade. The church features two chapels, a main altar, a sacristy, and a choir, reflecting its historical and religious significance.

Dudhsagar Waterfalls
Nestled in the Western Ghats, the falls resemble streams of milk cascading down the mountainside, hence the name Dudhsagar. It is the largest and highest waterfall in Goa. Trekking through the steep terrain and jeep safaris are popular ways to explore this natural wonder. Legend says the waterfall was once home to a beautiful princess.
